Still In Effect

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Briefly I want to share something with you the enemy doesn’t want you to know. Every word from heaven that has been spoken, prophesied, prayed and agreed upon regarding your destiny is still in effect. You are not too old and it’s not too late for that word to manifest in your life. Even though you should have done it when God told you to do it, you still have time to complete the work set for you to do.

Our text tells us that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Now for the sake of simplicity let’s look at the New International Reader’s Version (NIRV).

Romans 11:29 – God does not take back his gifts. He does not change his mind about those he has chosen. (NIRV)

What I’m here to tell you today is that the gifts that God placed within you are still there. They are not dead. They are just dormant. They are silently awaiting to be awakened, rekindled, refreshed, and renewed. As the apostle Paul wrote, “they need to be stirred.”

2 Timothy 1:6, “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”

Now, even though I can’t lay hands on you as Paul denotes in the scripture, I proclaim that as you read this your gifts will be stirred up. The gifts that God has placed inside of you will no longer be dormant but instead they will be dominant leading you before great men and women. Your gifts will no longer be sleeping giants but they will lead you into the gigantic things God has ordained for you.

You probably said, “me?” Yes you! Going back to our text, which also tells us, “He [God] does not change his mind about those he has chosen.” You are one of the chosen ones. Once God picks you, you’re on the team and that’s it. You’ve been hand picked by the Father Himself and that alone should tell you that you are too unique to be replaced. God has invested a great deal in you and even though it might have been weeks, months or years, remember you are still on the team and still on assignment.

Even though you might have quit, God didn’t! He never changed His mind about the mission and mandate. We did that. Yet through it all, He was so dedicated to us that He kept the mission alive. Even though others would believe our time has come and gone it hasn’t. God did not change His mind about the mission. It’s still on. It’s still “A GO!” God didn’t take the gifts back and exchange them for “Summer Items.” So don’t throw a pity party because you feel your time has come and gone. Nothing could be further from the truth. Each gift within you is still good and the calling of God on your life is still in effect.
