Who is Like Him?
Psalms 113
5 Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
Who is like our God who would still be so thoughtful and so caring as to look on our situations and circumstances with compassion as though He were going through them Himself. Let’s be honest here. Sometimes our family and friends forsake us when we are going through the roughest times. Sometimes when we are walking through the heart of hell itself, it seems as though people just don’t pick up the phone the way they used to. It seems as though people don’t call to check in like they used to. It seems they don’t want to go to lunch like they used to. Instead of bearing burdens, it seems as though they cut off the camaraderie. But who is like unto the Lord our God, who humbleth himself to behold the things we are going through?
Regardless of the physical distance between you and Him, He still could not find Himself separated from you. It doesn’t matter what you did or didn’t do. It doesn’t matter what you are going through, the King of Glory, the Lord God Himself, will humble himself to behold those trying circumstances. Let me go back to that statement for a moment. He humbles himself!
Even though He is God, Creator of the Universe, maker of all things and judge of all men, He doesn’t take the position, “I’m too big for these menial problems.” Instead, He humbles himself to look on our situations. Why is this so important? Because His looking on your situation leads to His action within your situation. He’s not the type of God who can sit back and do nothing. If He Himself has to come down and get right in the middle of your problem for your promise to occur, He will do just that.
If He’s promised you peace, know that He is watching to ensure you will get peace. If He’s promised you healing, know that His eyes are stayed on you to make sure you get healing. If He’s promised to restore your relationship, to mend your broken heart, or to bring you out of the hell you’re in right now, then be assured that He has not abandoned His promises to you.
Believe me when I tell you this. You will get the peace you’ve been waiting on, you will see the deliverance you’ve been hoping for, and you will experience the prosperity you’ve been believing for because the Lord our God is overseeing His promise 24-7 to ensure it will come to pass. This is why there is absolutely no one like Him!
