Don’t Quit!
Psalm 27:13
“What, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!” (Amplified Bible)
Have you ever felt like giving up? I’m talking about the time that you felt so low you just wanted to walk away from it all and not look back. You didn’t care how everything turned out; you just wanted out. If you were in charge, you didn’t care what happened when you left or who took over the ship. They could have drawn straws, cast lots, or done “one potato”- – – it didn’t matter to you. In short, you just wanted to quit.
Well beloved of God, I am here to tell you that giving up is not the only way out. This is why I want to speak life to your situation and put something into your belief system that satan can’t burglarize nor breach. I’m here to tell you that you will see God’s goodness in the land of the living. If you don’t believe me, let’s look at our text:
Psalm 27:13 “What, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!” (Amplified Bible)
The question within our text asks, “What would have become of me?” In other words, what would have been my outcome, my final destination, and more seriously, how would God have judged me at the end of my life? All of these answers are determined by your ability to believe in seeing God’s goodness WITHIN YOUR LIFETIME!
Now once you begin believing in God’s plan, quitting becomes less of an option. And the main purpose of His plan for your life is for you to see His goodness on this side of life. You will see His deliverance, power, grace, and favor on your life. He is bringing you into a large place, a spacious place, a place that has more than enough, a place with no troubles or worries, a place where peace is abundant and prosperity overflows.
Where you are is not your last place; it’s your launching place. It’s the place where you are about to take off and soar, so just believe! Believe that you will see God’s goodness in the land of the living because He will not withhold it from you. The devil can not stop it from getting to you; he can only try to stop you from getting to it. If the truth be told, the only way you won’t reach God’s goodness is by quitting.
Therefore, you can’t give up because God’s goodness is right around the corner from you. You can’t give out because you are just on the other side of a miracle. You can’t give in because your change is closer than it’s ever been. If you just hold out, you will experience the promises that God has given you and find out for yourself the plans of success that God has for you. If you just hold on, you will see God’s goodness manifest itself right before you. The intangible things will become the tangible things. The untouchable things will become the touchable things. The inconceivable things will be the things that you give birth to. And all these blessings shall come to pass as long as you don’t quit!
