Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”
I want to talk to you about the most popular form of witchcraft in the body of Christ today. It’s equivalent to the chain letter of a years ago. You should know what I’m talking about. It’s that email you get that says, “If you send this to 10 people, you will get a blessing.”
Now just when we got educated enough to know better than sending “chain mail” in comes “chain email” that says, “good luck” or in this case, “blessings” will come when you send it. I know that we all are constantly, consistently and continually looking for a blessing. But the truth of a matter is this: we need to stop looking for the blessing because we already have it!! According to our text, God has ALREADY blessed us. Not only that, but He blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings. Therefore, if this is the case, then why do I need to send an email, text message, or chain letter to get what God has already given me?
The truth of the matter is we don’t quite understand the difference between blessing and manifestation. You see, when we say blessing, we are actually waiting for the manifestation of the blessing, not the blessing itself. A good example is the wind. When it blows, you don’t see it, but you see things moving because of it. It’s the same way with the blessing. When we see things manifest in our lives–things like divine health or increased finances–we should know that they are due to the blessing that God gave you before you hit planet earth.
Unfortunately, what we’ve been led to believe is that these emails, text messages, or chain letters are the catalysts that manifest the blessing into the natural realm. Now, I don’t want to discourage you from sending messages you feel will encourage a brother or sister; we should encourage each other every chance we get. However, we shouldn’t be duped into sending a message in hopes of a manifestation.
Believe me, if God spoke it, it will manifest. If He said it, it shall surely come to pass because He is faithful to His word. All you have to do is stay faithful, knowing that you will see the result of that word on this side of life, and it won’t take your forwarding a message to ten people to get it!
